update to my previous post. I went there yesterday and this young gentlemen made an excellent espresso, poured directly into the cup, with a ton of crema and a lot of thickness and body to the shot. Hopefully the espresso will become more consistent as I've had a lot of unequal experience so far. The last two were very nice. Jacob, the young barista, rules!

Great addition to the neighborhood with lots of potential, but... we came ~30 mins before they closed. The kitchen was closed, and staff was already putting away pastry. We didn't feel welcomed, and were also completely alone - hopefully it's livelier during the day! While we were drinking our tea, 2 different sources of music were playing (from the cafe space, and much louder from the kitchen) which made the stay quite stressful. Definitely room to improve. The tea was good though!

Viva la tarte is a nice quiet place among the hustle and bustle of 24th St. in Noe Valley. While the plant based/vegan offerings are unfortunately really minimal, the one that they do have is quite good. They have a freshly made gluten-free, plant-based/vegan loaf which they sell by the half or full (loaf). It’s a great place to bring your laptop and do work for part of the day, it’s also a great place to have a nice leisurely breakfast or brunch. The café is located on 24th St., accessible by one muni line or a few public transportation bus lines.I would encourage the café to continue to build their plant-based/vegan selection.

This hidden gem of a bakery nestled in Noe Valley is an amazing addition to the neighborhood. My new go-to place to order an Americano and almond croissant to start my Saturday mornings. The croissant was the perfect combination of sweet and crispy, with the almond paste oozing with flavor. Yum....can’t wait to try the breakfast entrees next time. Everything looked so fresh & delicious!

DELICIOUS GOURMET SPOT. BEST FRENCH PASTRIES IN SF FOR ME. I first stopped in this place for a latte and SF cheesecake on a lazy afternoon. It was so good (I love spéculos crust cheesecake), I decided to come back on Sunday to brunch. Had the avocado beetroot falafel salad and my husband the avocado toast with poach eggs. It was delicious, very refined and tasty.More tasty than many of the other places we went before even it was great spots. Some details make the difference : the seasonings, eggs very well cooked, quality of Bread (home made by a real baker chef). The tea is also very good and most of it, the pain au chocolat is one of the best we ever had. And trust me, as a French, we know about it ;) Bravo!Highly recommand this place for a snack, a coffee, a lunch or a brunch. (The place is well decorated too).

Happy to have Vive la tarte in the neighborhood. It’s a great bakery with decent coffee, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. There’s a lot of seating inside, even though it doesn’t look like it from the street.Favorite: almond croissant (totally worth half of your daily calories!)

Phenomenal pastries in a modern, open-air environment. Great place to stop before a show at the Orpheum.

Parking is easy to find. Food is a little pricey for the quality and portion is smallish. Maybe it is because the cost of living in San Francisco is high.

Pros: No lines for brunch yay!We got the pan-crepe which was delicious and the egg Benedict which was average - the bread under the benedict seemed burnt and was hard to eat. Will try the bakery items next time!
